i can't speak to youtube and the adpocalypse because i never utilized youtube much, but newgrounds has always been better because it's more tightly knit and has a community. youtube actually was more community focused in the days before google started changing it, you could even DM people. youtube changed for the worse. but newgrounds hasn't
